Isoamyl alcohol is a colorless volatile liquid with a distinctive scent, largely applied in the fragrance and flavor sectors.
It mixes well with alcohol and ether, only slightly soluble in water, and insoluble in most other organic solvents. It is generally obtained from carbohydrate fermentation or isolated as a byproduct during fusel oil distillation.
This substance exists naturally in trace amounts in fruits and plants like bananas and grapes. It also serves as a key raw material for making amyl acetate, a widely used ester with a fruity aroma.


Product Application of D-Mannitol CAS#69-65-8

D-Mannitol finds extensive application in the food industry, serving as an anticaking agent, flow aid, flavor enhancer, lubricant, mold release agent, stabilizer, thickener, and nutritional sweetener. It is also used for the titrimetric analysis of boric acid in the production of dry electrolytic capacitors for radio equipment. Furthermore, D-Mannitol is utilized in the synthesis of artificial resins and plasticizers.
